Fortlings Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 19, 2026
Short version: Fortlings is a single-player game with no player account. The paid editions have no ads or in-app purchases. The paid iOS edition uses Firebase Analytics for gameplay measurement and Firebase Crashlytics for stability reporting. Android editions also use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. The original free Android edition also uses advertising, consent and Remove Ads billing. Ojaskara Studio does not sell personal data.
Fortlings ("the Game") is developed and published by Ojaskara Studio. This policy explains how information is handled when you play the Game.
Edition differences
The paid Android edition (com.fortlings.premium) includes eligible
Continue and Replay actions without advertising or in-app purchases. Advertising
ID collection and ad personalization are disabled. The original free Android
edition (com.fortlings.game) retains its advertising and optional
Remove Ads purchase. The paid iOS edition is purchased upfront through the App Store
and uses Firebase Analytics for gameplay and install measurement, without in-app ads or billing. It does not request tracking permission or use the advertising identifier.
References below to advertising, consent and purchase entitlements apply only to
the original free Android edition.
1. Information We Collect
Fortlings does not require a player account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or payment-card details. On iOS, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may process gameplay interactions, crash information, diagnostics, app-instance and installation identifiers, and device and app metadata. On Android, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, plus Google Mobile Ads, the User Messaging Platform and Google Play Billing in the original free edition, may process app interactions, advertising or app-instance identifiers, approximate location inferred from network information, diagnostics, crash information, device and app metadata, consent choices, and purchase status as applicable to each service and your device or consent settings.
2. Local Game Data
Campaign progress, stage ratings, cosmetic selections, tutorial completion, settings, and (only in the free Android edition) advertising cadence and a cached Remove Ads entitlement are stored locally on your device. You can remove this data by using the in-game campaign reset where available, clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the Game. Android backup or restore features may retain or restore local app data according to your device and Google account settings.
3. Permissions and Device Features
Fortlings uses normal device features needed to present gameplay, including audio, touch input, screen display, and optional device vibration for haptic feedback. Haptic feedback is processed on the device. The Game does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or media library.
Campaign reminders are optional local notifications. Android asks for notification permission where required. You can turn reminders off in Settings; reminder scheduling does not require uploading your campaign progress.
4. Advertising and Purchases
The original free Android edition may show optional rewarded ads and occasional interstitial ads supplied through Google Mobile Ads. Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for or records privacy choices before advertising is requested, and the Settings screen provides a privacy-options entry point when required. Fortlings offers a one-time, non-consumable Remove Ads purchase through Google Play Billing. Google processes payment details; Fortlings receives product, purchase-state, and token information needed to grant, acknowledge, restore, refund, or revoke the entitlement. The paid Android edition is purchased through Google Play before installation. It does not receive payment-card details or synchronize an in-app purchase entitlement. Neither edition has subscriptions or paid gameplay currencies.
5. Analytics and Crash Reporting
Firebase Crashlytics processes crash stack traces, relevant application state, device metadata, installation identifiers, and limited gameplay context attached to a crash so stability problems can be diagnosed. On Android and paid iOS from version 1.0.1, Firebase Analytics records app launches, gameplay and screen events, build information, level progress and outcomes so Ojaskara Studio can understand usage and improve the Game. Random session and attempt IDs may be included in gameplay events. Firebase uses an app-instance identifier. No developer-defined player name, email address, or precise location is sent.
6. Children's Privacy
Ojaskara Studio does not knowingly request names, contact details, precise location, or payment information from children through the Game. Google services may apply age-appropriate or child-directed handling based on the app's Play configuration, device/account signals, and applicable law. Parents or guardians with questions may contact us using the address below.
7. Service Providers, Sharing, and Retention
Google LLC provides advertising, consent, analytics, crash reporting, and billing services and processes information under Google's privacy policy and applicable service terms. On iOS, first-open measurement from Firebase is linked to the developer's Google Ads account to measure app install campaigns. Personalized advertising is disabled for paid iOS. Ojaskara Studio does not sell personal data. Locally stored game data remains until it is reset, cleared, restored by Android backup, or removed as described above. Retention of information processed by Google is controlled by the applicable Google service settings and policies.
8. Your Choices
Where available, use Privacy Options in Settings to review advertising consent choices. You may decline a rewarded ad and continue using normal Retry or Levels controls. You may restore an existing Remove Ads purchase through Settings. Device advertising and privacy controls are also available in Android settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when Fortlings changes or when legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version. Material changes will be published before the affected game update.
